Welcome to Sheffield School
Sheffield School is a rural contributing primary school with a decile rating of 9. The roll is stable, and has ranged from 80 to 110 in recent years. There are five classes.
Our experienced teachers pride themselves on knowing all our children, and providing a safe and happy environment where children are able to be children.
We are culturally inclusive and incorporate children’s uniqueness into our learning programmes.
The school grounds are massive with lots of places to play and learn. There are ongoing landscaping and property initiatives that continue to develop. We recently installed a new playground and are developing new learning spaces in 2023.
Our Principal is Mr Nigel Easson (Primary and ECE trained), and he welcomes the opportunity to meet with the whānau of prospective students. He is very happy to talk with you about the values and beliefs of Sheffield School, and to learn about your child’s specific needs in an educational setting.
Nigel encourages all families to walk through the classrooms with him, to meet staff and see the learning in action. To book in a time to meet Nigel and to see our school, please phone the school:
